The terrace offers uninterrupted views down to the river and stretching several miles along and across the spectacular Yarty River valley with its pattern of small irregular fields and copses.
Enveloped by accessible woodlands, apple orchards and farm fields (where you can walk your dog), S41823 lies at the end of a long, shared drive, amidst hedge-lined winding lanes. Badgers, deer, rabbits, (40 species of moth were counted on a June evening) and various birds of prey are commonly seen. A weir pool with a salmon ladder lies along one of the many footpaths nearby and a bluebell wood is a short walk away.

Branscome, Beer, Axmouth and Charmouth are only a little further down the coast.
