Splendid Strathpeffer Cottage

4 People|2 Bedrooms|

Property Description

Enjoying a peaceful setting, with a woodland backdrop, on the edge of a very small group of private houses, S85293 makes an ideal base for exploring this beautifully scenic part of the Northern Highlands, and is located on the North Coast 500, the beautiful, iconic driving route. This detached property has been furnished to a high standard, and tastefully decorated and equipped to ensure a comfortable and relaxing holiday. The small village of Contin is centrally situated to take advantage of the excellent network of roads leading to the spectacular west coast, Sutherland and Caithness, and also to the east along the Moray Firth coastline. Strathpeffer, a picturesque spa village, is only 3 miles away and boasts a variety of shops, restaurants and also a challenging 18-hole golf course, and the host of the 24 hour Starthpuffer mountain bike race. In the heart of the village is The Spa Pavilion, a historic venue which hosts numerous live musical performances and craft and art exhibitions. In the summer, you can enjoy the sounds of the Strathpeffer Pipe Band performing in The Square. From Contin you can enjoy a visit to Inverness, the Highland capital, only 19 miles away, which enjoys a wonderful range of places to eat, cinemas, theatre, shopping and leisure facilities.

Take a trip to the famous Loch Ness where you can enjoy a leisurely cruise on its waters and hopefully catch sight of the monster. You can meander along some of the many unspoilt beaches of the beautiful Moray Coast, dotted with quaint former fishing villages. The Moray coastline was voted by National Geographic as one of the top 20 coastal destinations in the world. A trip along the Moray Malt Whisky trail is highly recommended. Visit the stunning Brodie and Cawdor castles, as well as the Culloden Battlefield, just outside Inverness and with the Cairngorms National Park within easy reach. You can enjoy many activities in the area with many mountain bike trails, watersports on nearby Loch Achility, and further afield, horse riding and the Munros and Corbett mountains for mountain climbing.
For a change of pace, sit back in front of the wood burner and watch the ever changing scenery around you. A holiday in S85293 will always evoke happy memories. Shop 400 yards, pub and restaurant 200 yards.
