A trip to Carmarthenshire is not complete without a visit to the Botanical Gardens of Wales, with the world's largest single span glass house, and it has been voted the number 1 gardens to visit in all of Wales. A 20-minute drive away will take you to Pembrey Country Park, with its many footpaths, 8 miles of golden sandy beach, 550 acres of woodlands, a dri-ski slope and the longest toboggan run in Wales. Whilst travelling along this rugged and picturesque coastline, a visit to Kidwelly Castle is not to be missed and further along lies Laugharne, which was formerly home to the famous Welsh poet Dylan Thomas, where you can visit his writing shed and enjoy the sublime township of Laugharne.
