Right on your doorstep are the numerous amenities Whitby has to offer including; a large selection of pubs, quaint antique and gift shops, the famous fish and chip shops and three miles of golden sandy beach. The local tour bus is an excellent way of visiting some of Whitby's highlights including the stunning Abbey and St. Mary's Church positioned on the cliff top where you can enjoy spectacular views over Whitby and out to sea. You can also take one of the many pleasure cruises that will sail out to sea for an hour which is a memorable experience. Whitby is surrounded by the spectacular scenery of the North York Moors which you can enjoy by catching either the Esk Valley train that takes you through the pretty villages dotted along the way or the North Yorkshire Moor steam train that will take you from Whitby to the lovely market town of Pickering stopping off at Goathland, otherwise known as “Heartbeat Country'. The lovely coastal resorts of Sandsend, Staithes, Runswick Bay and Robin Hoods Bay are all within close proximity and are well worth a visit. Shop, pub and restaurant 10 yards.
