Property Description

Lying in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, S41845 is an historic cottage at Wellands near Axminster at the junction of the Devon, Somerset and Dorset borders a few miles from the Jurassic Coast. S41845 has a remarkable elevated position offering panoramic views stretching several miles to the north and south and across the Yarty Valley with its pattern of small irregular fields and copses. The cottage is enveloped by accessible woodlands, apple orchards, and farmland.

After travelling along winding, tree-lined lanes and down a long drive, you'll find a spacious parking area. S41845 is host to a wildlife; deer, badger, rabbits, and a huge variety of birds and moths 40 species were recorded on one June evening. This Dark Sky area is a revelation for town-based star-gazers. A bluebell wood and river access with a salmon ladder and weir pool are within a kilometre's stroll.
Airy and open-planned, with mainly level accesses, S41845 is designed for ease, and has been described as very child and dog-friendly.
