This cottage is the end one of three, on a little row of cottages above the village of Scalby just north of Scarborough. A very peaceful location down a country lane yet less than a mile down to the village with all its amenities. Originally the farm buildings, all three have been converted to make these popular holiday lets. The three share a garden which overlooks the valley with stunning views across the Yorkshire countryside. The area is very popular with cyclists, walkers, bird watchers and just anybody who enjoys nature as there's plenty of wildlife from deer to badgers, hares and foxes. Sit and have a glass of wine in the garden and watch all the wildlife below in the fields. The North York Moors National Park just on your doorstep. If you want a good walk there's plenty of great walks in the vicinity and the Cleveland Way passes through Scarborough so you may like to walk some of the route along the rugged clifftops and down into the little fishing villages. Scarborough is just a short car journey and is one of the most popular seaside resorts on the east coast. There's something for everybody at Scarborough with its long flat marine drive separating the two bays. The North Bay is the quieter of the two with Peasholm Park and the Sealife Centre being the main attractions. The South Bay is much livelier with amusements, donkey rides and that traditional family seaside feel. The resorts of Filey, Flamborough Head and Bridlington are down the coast and if you head north there's the town of Whitby, very popular with tourists. Beach 2 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.
