Lusty Glaze beach has all you need for a superb Cornish holiday by the sea, from jet ski rides to surf lessons and hire, and a range of evening concerts throughout the summer including many well-known names. The café, restaurant and bar are all excellent and provide local ales and great food right on the sand.
Newquay has undergone quite a transformation over the last few years, with great coffee shops and some excellent restaurants springing up. The world famous Fistral Beach has a great pizzeria with views across the ocean, surf hire and schools, stylish beach bar and a mile of dune backed beach. The golf course backs onto the beach, and if this is your thing then you would be hard pushed to find views like it.
Porth is a short walk from Newquay and boasts a family friendly beach with a local pub sitting directly on the sand, and there is not many better places to watch the sunset. Watergate Bay, home to Jamie Oliver's Fifteen Cornwall restaurant and a kite surfing centre, can be walked to from S84874, but booking is essential. There is also a great beach café, and over a mile of golden sand to enjoy. Padstow, Truro, St Ives and Fowey are all easily reached and a must for visitors to experience the diversity of the county. Golf, horse riding, surf lessons and bike hire are all available locally. Beach 150 yards. Shop 400 yards, pub and restaurant 50 yards.
