Situated in the village of Tanygrisiau, this lovely terraced holiday cottage ensures a very warm Welsh welcome and lies just a short distance away from the former slate quarrying town of Blaenau Ffestiniog. This traditional cottage has been extended to offer very spacious accommodation for up to five guests, and has been finished to a very good standard. Tanygrisiau Reservoir is close by and there are some wonderful walks straight from the door. Catch the steam train at Tanygrisiau station, 100 yards, and take a spectacular scenic journey on the famous Ffestiniog Railway, as the line twists and turns its way down to Porthmadog. Or hop off the train at Minffordd and walk a short distance to the Italianate village of Portmeirion. Surrounded by the Snowdonia National Park, Blaenau Ffestiniog is fast becoming the adventure capital of North Wales with Bounce Below, where you can bounce on trampoline nets in an old slate cavern, Zipworld, the largest zip wire zone in the world, the Stiniog downhill mountain bike trails, not to mention taking a guided tour deep underground at Llechwedd Slate Caverns.
