Across from the small public footpath, (each cottage has a detached garden and Oaktree Lodge has an enclosed garden, which may make it first choice for dog owners), that runs along the front of the cottages, an ideal area for relaxing after a days exploring. The location has easy access to the Northumberland coast with miles of unspoilt and uncrowded golden beaches and an outstanding coastline peppered with castles and friendly locals. The famous Alnwick Castle was used in the filming of Harry Potter and is only 26 miles away.
