In the Doomsday Book, Addingham is referred to as 'Ediham', which probably meant 'Home of Edi', the Earl of Bolton Abbey. Today's village thrives with several pubs serving fine ale and excellent food, a scattering of small shops and a delightful golf course surrounded by breathtaking countryside.
