The location is an ideal base from which to explore the New Forest National Park, with several walks and cycle rides from the doorstep. It is also well placed for fisherman, golfers and horse riders, with coarse fishing, several golf courses and equestrian centres within a few miles.
The local pub has an excellent selection of beers and food, whilst the award winning community run village store also has a post office and coffee shop, both within easy walking distance, as are the village green and open forest.
