The town of Barnstaple has most amenities you may require as well as a busy high street, and the market and Butchers Row are well worth a visit. There are numerous places of interest close by. At Great Torrington you will find the RHS gardens at Rosemoor and Dartington Crystal. Further afield discover the historic fishing village of Clovelly and the Victorian towns of Lynton and Lynmouth. National Trust properties can be found at Arlington, Castle Drogo and Knightshayes Court. For younger ones, visits to the Big Sheep or Milky Way theme parks are recommended.
