Especially suitable for families with young children, the cottages have been individually decorated – each having been carefully designed. Outside, there are shared one-acre landscaped grounds to enjoy, with seating and a charcoal barbecue outside each cottage, which makes a perfect place for a summer picnic.
Brigham village is noted in the Domesday Book and lies as a sleepy hamlet, yet just a few miles distant is the historical market town of Driffield. Delightful York (30 miles) is always a pleasure to visit, with plenty to do and see for the whole family. The magnificent minster dominates the city, which is full of quaint shops, restaurants and pubs. Together with the Jorvik Viking Centre and the National Railway Museum, this historic city makes for an entertaining day out.
For lovers of the outdoors, there are numerous walks for all standards incuding gentle strolls along the banks of the canal, coastal walks or taking in the magnificent scenery of the Yorkshire Wolds. The beaches of Bridlington, Scarborough and Filey are easily accessible, and Hornsea with its “Freeport Shopping Centre' is also well worth a visit. The area boasts a number of stately homes, as well as theatres and cinemas. Shop within 2½ miles. Several pubs/restaurants within 3 miles.
