Pendennis Castle sits proudly on the headland opposite its sister castle at St Mawes. Both castles were built by Henry VI to protect the important Fal Estuary and Carrick Roads. The area is popular for sailing, watersports, walking, golf at Budock Vean, and cycling with many trails and bike hire available locally.
