This eco-cottage is set behind the farm and neighbouring county. Laurel Farm also hosts a peaceful and small Steiner Kindergarten, which the cottage's back wall adjoins. It is rurally located, with gentle sloping walks to Camerton Woods and more steeply downhill to Cam Brook, and is only 6 miles from the city of Bath.
There is a very convenient 'Park and Ride' bus into Bath's city centre a few miles from the cottage. Bath is a famous World Heritage City, whose attractions including sweeping Georgian crescents, the abbey, the Roman Baths and the Thermae Bath Spa rooftop pool. The vast array of independent shops, restaurants, galleries, museums and cultural events, and stunning architecture at every corner, make the city special. With the Kennet and Avon Canal, and the River Avon running through the city, there is ample opportunity for boating, walking and cycling along the towpath.
A few miles along the canal is the smaller town of Bradford-on-Avon with its medieval tithe barn. The up and coming alternative market town of Frome is 8 miles away. Within an hour's drive visitors can reach Longleat House and Safari Park, Cheddar, Glastonbury, Wells, Bristol, the Cotswolds and the west Somerset coastal resorts. Shop, pub and restaurant within 1 mile.
