Featured on Radio 4, Danehill House is a stunning large holiday home in Sussex, dating back to 1550 and situated in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. On a clear day the Jack and Jill Windmills can be seen on the horizon of the South Downs over 20 miles away. Relax away from traffic noise and light pollution. On a clear night the stars twinkle in the night sky and you can pick out constellations – a treat for anyone who lives in a city.
Wonderful oak beams are found throughout the house. Impressive windows in the vaulted hallway invite the natural sunlight to flood into the house. The layout has been designed with reception rooms on one side balanced with a fabulous kitchen on the other. A large oak table at one end makes the space very sociable – with a beautiful balcony, when the windows are open, you almost feel as though you are in the garden!
Danehill House has large comfortable sofas surrounding the amazing inglenook fireplace in the huge L shaped sitting room, the perfect place to sit and relax with a glass of wine. For the warmer summer days the French doors open up fully and invite the sunlight into the room. There is plenty of seating outside for relaxing, watching children play and enjoying the amazing views.
The lawned and well stocked garden has an unusual rock enclosed swimming pool. There is parking for several cars.
Country pursuits such as clay pigeon shooting can be booked.
