Perthshire is well known for its excellent range of outdoor pursuits; for fishermen, the Stanley Beat on the River Tay is only 220 yards from the doorstep, and there are several excellent rivers and lochs within a short driving distance. The Perthshire and Angus hills are within easy reach, perfect for hill walking, and championship golf courses are at Rosemount, Blairgowrie, Gleneagles and St Andrews.
