It's truly a walker's haven with The Wye Valley Trail running alongside the property and splendid cycling opportunities are available. The area is home to the majestic red kite, and with a bird feeding station within walking distance, it can be a popular sight. Guests are welcome to roam the owner's 270-acre farm. Excellent fishing, riding and golfing can all be found locally. Today, the population of the local villages and countryside surrounding Rhayader is only a fraction of what it used to be a couple of hundred years ago, but the village communities are still very strong, with a variety of rural shows and events throughout the year.
