Cosy Hastings Cottage

Hastings, East Sussex, England
5 People|2 Bedrooms|

Property Description

Stay in this cosy, modern fisherman's holiday cottage for five, in the heart of Hastings Old Town

You enter the property into the open plan lounge, double aspect, so light and airy and with all the comforts of seaside living. A spiral staircase takes you down to the new modern kitchen, fully equipped with everything you could need during your holiday. The kitchen opens out onto a small decked garden, to enjoy the balmy sunny evenings and somewhere to stow away the bucket and spades. The modern family bathroom is on this level and has been newly fitted.

Back up to the lounge and a spiral staircase leads to the bedrooms. One double bedroom with fantastic views of the beach and the pier. The front bedroom with views of the sea and cliffs and set up with a bunk bed, double on the bottom with a single above. Perfect for children and I'm sure, arguments over who gets the top bunk!

Parking outside the property is permit holder only. Parking vouchers for one car can be purchased from us when you make your booking, apart from the months of July and August when they are not available. Please be aware, that this is on street parking and it may not always be possible to park directly outside the cottage. Alternatively, there are council car parks close to the cottage, with ample parking available and we will send you details about these at the time of your booking.

Hastings and beyond

S60755 is located close to the seafront, just 5 minutes from the hustle and bustle of the fresh fish stalls and seafront restaurants accessed via an alleyway to the left of the property. Cross the road and you can take the steps to the top of the funicular tram and Hastings Country Park, a walkers paradise.

Hastings Old Town is picturesque and quaint, with a mixture of antique shops, boutiques and cafés. The town is famous for the biggest fishing fleet in Europe and much of the tradition has been kept. The net drying huts and fishing fleet can be found on the beach today, along with the many fresh fish stalls. The recently opened Jerwood Gallery is found close by and The Shipwreck and Coastal Heritage Museum is worth a visit.

The Hastings Country Park is over 267 hectares of ancient woodland, heathland and grassland together with three miles (5km) of dramatic cliffs and coastline. Lying within the High Weald Area of Outstanding Beauty, most of the park has been designated a Special Area of Conservation, a Site of Special Scientific Interest and is a designated Local Nature Reserve.

You are of course in 1066 Country and with that comes, Castles, National Trust Gardens and Grand Houses, plenty to visit during your stay but too many for me to list. Please visit our 'Places to Visit' for East Sussex to learn more.
