Falmouth hosts many of Cornwall's most vibrant events Falmouth Week, Falmouth Oyster Festival, Sea Shanty Festival and Falmouth Spring Festival, all a must see for visitors. Based around a thriving harbour, Falmouth is the gateway to the beautiful Fal River which runs through an natural area of beauty. The town is famous for its creative buzz with many art galleries displaying contemporary works and venues showcasing independent films and live bands. For the less energetic, why not book on one of the fishing boats and catch your supper for the BBQ or catch the ferries that run up the River Fal to Truro which is the county capital.
