Found north within driving distance of the Brecon Beacons and south of the Builth Wells this property is in reach of all the top attractions in the region. Nestled in 80 acres of countryside featuring a variety of terrains including hills woodland valleys and farmland. For days out take a trip to Dan-yr-Ogof Caves or sample some healing waters at the Victorian resort Llandrindod Wells. The Black Mountains and Hay-on-Wye are also within driving distance if you enjoy mountain vistas. The west coast via Lampeter to Aberystwyth is an interesting drive through the mountains to the coast. The house is perfect for a long break spent exploring the surrounding estate and enjoying the architecturally impressive property with its cosy feature fires and memorable views. You enter the property via the lobby which has a place to store shoes and outdoor clothing. Off to the right is the first bedroom which has a king-size bed and en-suite shower room. The bathroom is a relaxing place to soak with its dark tiled walls and floors and an illuminated rain shower over the free standing bath. The door from this room opens to the side of the house and the shutter can be opened for a delightful view. The next room going left is the cloakroom the main bathroom with its deep bath and WC. At the other end of the corridor a spacious bedroom with king size bed and a feature fire which throws a wonderful light across the room. The door to this room opens onto the front of the barn. The shutter can be opened if you want to have natural light and a view across the forested valley. The third bedroom is a more compact space with a double bed that can be made up as a twin perfect for kids. Also on the ground floor is the housekeeper s utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer. Behind the oak wall are the stairs up to the living area. The large open-plan living space benefits from having windows on all sides out the property s lovely surroundings. At one end is an area dedicated to relaxation with and armchair and sofas arranged around the log burning stove and a pull-down projection screen with a selection of DVDs and satellite TV. An intriguing selection of books and a billiard table also keep you entertained should you wish to stay indoors. At the far end the kitchen is a great place to cook up a feast. Here you will find an oven and hob a fridge/freezer an additional mini-fridge a wine cabinet and a dishwasher. The owners have also included a coffee machine so bring a supply of capsules with you. Enjoy mealtimes around the reclaimed elm dining table. Whilst you enjoy the living space you can listen to your music with the iPod docking station and radio so don t forget your player. There is an easy-to-use wood burner that comes with an initial supply of logs provided. Step outside onto a private patio that opens out onto 80 acres. There is garden furniture to relax on and marvel at the wildlife and beautiful local views. There is ample off-road parking at the property and dogs are welcome. Also please note that the last 0.5 mile of track to the property is unsuitable for cars with a low clearance.
