Only a 10-minute drive to the market town of Hexham, where guests will find this popular location has plenty of activities for visitors of all ages. The most popular destinations for families are Hexham Abbey and Hexham Old Gaol which are both great to explore at any time of year. This is also a great base for exploring the North East and the surrounding counties. Newcastle upon Tyne, Gateshead for the Metrocentre, Alnwick, Bamburgh and the cathedral city of Durham can all be reached within an easy hours drive. Cumbria and the Lake District, the Scottish Boarders and the Northumbrian Heritage Coast are also well worth a visit and can all be explored in little over an hour's drive.
