Just over the bridge is the town centre, with a good variety of shopping and dining options. Adjacent to the town and just around a five minute walk from Anchor is the main Weymouth beach, which stretches over three miles – the perfect location for a shoreline walk, sand castle building or just sitting and enjoying the gentle lapping of the sea whilst sampling a local ice-cream.
