Step back in time and relax in this lovely 19th century oast, with pretty cottage garden overlooking the picturesque Kent marshes.
Located in the grounds of the owners beautiful 18th century manor house, this comfortable holiday cottage is a perfect property to enjoy the Garden of England. Quiet and peaceful, yet close to nearby Kentish villages such as Hamstreet, Appledore and Tenterden. Also perfect for walkers, as the Royal Military Canal, and the Saxon Shore walk pass by close to the cottage. The sea can be reached by car in 15 minutes.
The Oast has a charming circular sitting room and large country style kitchen which leads to the south facing garden which is a real sun trap. The owners welcome guests with a dog, and the garden is fully enclosed. Guests can also enjoy the owners' outdoor swimming pool by arrangement.
Upstairs are three bedrooms, the master bedroom being in the circular oast. All rooms have lovely views of the surrounding countryside.
There are a number of local pubs that serve meals, but for guests who want time off from cooking, the owner Patrick is a chef and prepares ready meals for an award winning farmers market and restaurant in Canterbury, The Goods Shed. He would be delighted to provide menus, and the food will be waiting for you on your arrival.
