Captivating Canterbury Cottage

4 People|2 Bedrooms|

Property Description

The Old Fire Station is a complex of three fantastic, bespoke properties located in Canterbury. The Fireman's Cottage (ref UKC739) and S70581 (ref UKC741) are terraced, whilst Cedar House (ref UKC740) is detached. They can all be booked separately or together for a special occasion or gathering. Decorated and furnished to a good standard, these properties all have a unique style and charm. The Old Fire Station was once used as the main fire station for Canterbury in the Victorian era with horse drawn fire engines. Ideally located on the outskirts of the city centre, they are just a short stroll from all that the famous city of Canterbury has to offer. The skyline is dominated by the stunning cathedral, which is the oldest in England. But the cathedral is only part of the story since the ancient ruins of St Augustine's Abbey and St Martin's Church form Canterbury's unesco World Heritage Site, making the city full of history, heritage and culture. Walk along the cobbled streets, perhaps take a river tour, or walk along the stunning city walls. Canterbury is full of unique and desirable shops, bars and restaurants to enjoy all year round; this makes Canterbury one of the most popular places to visit whilst in Kent. A short drive will take you to the seaside town of Whitstable, known for its oyster festival, seafood restaurants and vast coastline. For a day trip to London, a high speed service runs frequently from Canterbury West, and after a 50-minute train journey, you can enjoy the London Eye, Houses of Parliament, Buckingham Palace and much more. Beach 7 miles. Shop and restaurant 500 yards, pub 100 yards.

These properties can be booked together (except during July and August) to accommodate up to 14 guests.
