The fishing port at Mevagissey, The Lost Gardens of Heligan, Caerhays Castle and St Austell brewery, where visitors can take daily tours, all make a good day out. Bodmin is worth exploring, with its history, famous jail and court house which are both open to the public, and the Bodmin Steam Railway makes themed trips including murder mystery trips.
