Attractive Kersey Cottage

2 People|1 Bedrooms|

Property Description

Situated on one of Suffolk's prettiest and quaintest villages, this beautifully converted studio is the perfect place for a romantic treat, a relaxing break or an indulgent base from which to explore the local area. S88463, once the inspiration-giving work place of author, Hammond Innes, is a 15th century thatched building set within the garden of Ayres End House. The garden, originally designed in the 1920s, is beautifully planned and maintained, which gives this stylish studio its completely unique and idyllic setting.

The open-plan studio has been converted and furnished to the very highest standards. In the centre is a handsome, mahogany super king size bed with a spacious sitting area and a stunning open fireplace with contemporary, realistic electric log fire. A large wall unit forms a clever self-contained kitchen, which can be closed up when not in use. This practical kitchen is fully equipped. The studio also contains a luxurious wet room, with underfloor heating. Guest are able to access areas of the garden adjacent to the studio as well as having exclusive use of the medieval-style summer house – the perfect spot for morning coffee before a day's exploration.
The village of Kersey, straddling its famous “splash”, with St Mary's church crowning the hill on the south side, is regarded as one of the most picturesque villages in East Anglia. It possesses an important collection of medieval buildings and is situated amidst rolling Suffolk countryside between Dedham, Sudbury and Lavenham
