The Cleveland Way snakes its way through the area, making it an ideal place for hikers and bikers. A haven for those who like to fish, ranging from fly fishing to sea fishing for cod, carp, bass, trout, pike and mackerel, to name just a few of the local catch. There is also a golf course with a floodlit driving range within 10 minutes' walk. Saltburn is also filled with plenty to do for all the family including crazy golf, a play factory and fabulous family friendly beach.
Hidden amongst miles of public footpaths and country roads of the North Yorkshire Moors are delights such as the North York Moors Steam Railway, which snakes through the heart of the National Park.
There is also a variety of theme parks in the area such as Lightwater Valley, Beamish Museum and Flamingo Land to keep the young ones and the young at heart entertained.
