If you’ve ever fancied fly fishing, this half-day introductory course at the UK’s only dedicated fly fishing teaching facility is the perfect way to learn the basics or improve on your skills. The fully qualified instructor will cover all the fundamentals and by the end of your experience you’ll be fishing confidently.
Your instructor will pass on to you all their invaluable knowledge of fly fishing. You will learn everything from the best flies to the most reliable tactics. You will also be able to take home one of the fish that you catch. You will share the session with two other people so will benefit from some personal tuition and the hands-on session will be tailored to meet the needs of every participant. It will cover things like casting technique, setting up your rod, learning knots, how to pick the right fly for the day. All the equipment you will need is included, as well as your fishing licence. At the end of the introductory course you will be confident in the skills you need to catch those all important fish.
