This quaint bungalow sits comfortably on the grounds of a family home and once served as staff accommodation for the main property. A quiet and idyllic detached home with easy access by bus to town centre makes this an ideal holiday or weekend away. The bungalow sleeps 4 adults plus extra child/toddler/baby also. We can assist with baby/toddler items to reduce excess baggage if you’re travelling by car or plane including booster seat for the dining table, toys/books etc. A cot can be placed in the bungalow and there is already an additional toddler bed in the main bedroom, parking is available for one vehicle on the premises.
The bungalow is warm, cosy, light and airy. It is conveniently located on the island, only 15 minutes walk to the beach and a 10 minute bus ride to the town centre (the bus stop is right outside). The bungalow was recently renovated and is located in the rear garden of an older house which once worked as a small hotel. The bungalow used to serve as servants quarters for staff working in the big house. Its now an ideal space to use as a base when visiting this beautiful island or travelling onto Sark, Herm, Alderney and Jersey. You are welcome to use the garden area at the rear of the bungalow, which is fully equipped with kitchen, fridge/freezer, oven, hot plate, dishwasher and microwave.
The bungalow is private and so is the access to it, you do not need to enter the main house as the bungalow is completely detached. Although the bungalow sits on a large family garden, there is an outside sitting area for quests to enjoy the wonderful sunshine. We provide fold our chairs (adult & children) and a beach blanket which you are welcome to borrow during your stay.
This is a family friendly property, respect for everyone’s privacy is key and guests are given their own space, if you wish not to be disturbed your request will be adhered to. However anyone in the main house will be happy to assist you with any requirements you may have.
Quiet location on a direct bus route to St Peter Port, walking distance to Beaucette Marina, Pembroke Beach and the Royal Guernsey Golf Club.
The bus stop is almost outside the front door and there are 2 direct buses an hour to the town centre, plus during summer an extra tourist bus which takes you all around the island. We can provide a car parking spot and will lend you a parking disc (only needed for the town centre, not the house). This is an ideal island for walkers, trampers and ramblers.
Enjoy Guernsey, there is a lot to do on this little island and usually never enough time to see everything. If you have time try and do a day trip to Sark, take a picnic to Herm or if you have extra time consider a trip to Jersey or Alderney.
