Follow the journey from three humble blocks of metal, into a modern marvel of engineering. You’ll kick off your tour in the Machining Hall. Here you’ll see where the engine blocks, cylinder heads, and crankshafts are drilled, ground and polished with precision by over 173 machines. Next, you’ll see how the aluminium and steel swarf is collected, recycled and exported. Learn about the cutting-edge infrastructure that makes the site so energy efficient.
You’ll finish up in the Assembly Hall, where the Ingenium comes together. The trio of components are put together by high-speed robots and master craftsmen, meaning that every 39.8 seconds, a radiant four-cylinder, 2.0-litre, low-emission engine leaves the production line.
