Become an Engineer for a Day on the National Trust Steam Yacht Gondola. This experience will allow you to become part of the team as you spend the day with the knowledgeable and friendly crew. Enjoy riding this river boat down the Coniston waters and learn how it is run. The ‘Gondola’ has been made environmentally friendly, discover how whilst on this experience. You will learn how to light the boiler and create steam and tend to the engine room. Get the best view of the stunning lake as you try your hand at helming. This elegant Victorian steam yacht glides silently through the waters for a wonderful sailing experience.
Enjoy learning all about the ‘Gondola’ with one to one tuition. You’ll also receive a packed lunch whilst on board and spend the day in logo’d overalls that you can keep as a souvenir at the end.
