Description
The medieval art of falconry is revered among many, not least due to the sheer skill and power held by birds of prey and falconers alike. This session gives both a taste of what is involved and lets you handle and fly a bird to experience their beauty first-hand. The introduction begins with a tour of Eagle Heights, delving into the differences and strengths of various species, then get familiarised with the birds under the guidance of an experienced handler. Finally, try out falconry in the true sense and watch as the hawks speed across the Kent scenery until one actually comes in to land on your glove. You may get to see some of the birds being exercised and drinks and snacks are available to buy from the cafe on-site.
