Description
It's not hard to believe magic exists after a helicopter trip over Snowdonia National Park in a comfy Jet Ranger Bell 206 or Robinson R44. Depart from Bettws y Coed, flying over woodland, mountains and waterfalls towards the 13th century castle at Dolwyddelan; pass Blaenau Ffestiniog and fly over Portmerion, the atmospheric Italian-style village where TV series The Prisoner was filmed. Then pass over Beddgelert, Snowdonia's prettiest village and the setting for Rupert the Bear, continuing over Castle Dinas Emrys, where legendary dragons were captured and buried. Heading back to Bettws, the route also passes Snowdon, Wales's tallest mountain at 1085m and the site where Arthur is said to have killed a giant. A legendary experience.
