Description
Take a 30 minute flight in a classic open cockpit Tiger Moth at a previous RAF airfield. This aircraft is a 1930s model and was used by the RAF as a primary trainer. The location in Duxford also saw real war-time action during the Battle of Britain and is rich in history. It is now home to Europe’s leading aviation museum where you can unearth an exceptional gathering of over 150 historic aircrafts from Biplanes and Spitfires to Concords, with free entry.
These days the majority of Tiger Moths are privately owned in Britain, so this is a rare chance for you to take a flight in such a marvellous plane. Add a leather flying jacket, goggles and a helmet to the mix and you’re all set for a ride of pure nostalgia. Soaring above the commotion of modern life it will be easy to envisage yourself time travelling back to the 1930’s. Your experience is made all the more incredible by being given the chance to fly this historic beauty yourself.
